This work was shown as part of the group exhibition “Homeland” at KUNTSI Museum of Modern art (Vaasa FI) and Västerbottens museum (Umeå SE).

In the summer of  2014, I took my Vespa along the coast of Ostrobothnia in Finland and Västerbotten in Sweden. I documented towns, villages and roads with a helmet camera during this time. The landscapes were shown through the eyes of visitors and locals, but also through personal experience. I interviewed locals, and asked tourists to write a postcard home from their current location. I got 333 postcards. One year after the two exhibitions, I mailed the postcards to their addressees.

I merge these two landscapes into one, as they once were. How different are they?
